The fixed valve tray is a semi elliptical valve body directly stamped from the tray body, and its projection on the tray is trapezoidal. This structural form is conducive to reducing the liquid level gradient and minimizing liquid backmixing on the tray. The size of the fixed valve can be produced according to the process conditions inside the tower, and can be stamped into different lengths such as 60mm, 30mm, 20mm, etc.
A fixed valve tray with similar structure, the smaller the size of the valve type, the lower the entrainment of mist and foam, and the higher the mass transfer efficiency; The smaller the ratio of valve gap area to valve hole area, the higher the pressure drop of the thousand plate and wet plate, and the less liquid leakage. Therefore, the smaller the valve size of the solid valve tray, the higher the processing capacity.
Fixed valve tray has low cost and imitates the shape of a valve. The fixed valve is directly decompressed from the tray plate. Due to the absence of moving parts, the wear and adhesion of the valve disc are eliminated, but compared to other floating valve trays, its lower limit of operating elasticity will be affected. However, solid valve trays have a higher upper limit of operational flexibility and processing capacity than sieve trays. The characteristic of solid valve tray is anti clogging, which has advantages for working conditions such as fermentation mash, washing tower, etc. that contain solid substances and are prone to fouling and blockage.
Compared to floating valve trays, solid valve trays have the following advantages:
1. Less mechanical failures and no valve jamming;
2. Low resistance, not easy to block;
3. Easy to manufacture and low cost.

Fixed valves have lower costs and greater operational flexibility compared to sieve plates, making them a compromise solution between sieve plates and floating valve trays. Its processing capacity is 0-15% higher than that of sieve trays, and its separation performance and flexibility are slightly improved compared to valve trays.
